Working in Design Mode

Design mode is where the majority of creating and editing reports takes place. Robust capabilities are offered in this mode that will allow you to configure and customize outputs to your needs.

Developing Reports

Developing reports is as simple as selecting the structural elements you want from the main menu and dropping them into the exact locations you would like to see them in the developing report. From there, you can drag-and-drop available objects and modify the look and feel of the presentation directly onscreen. See below for all development and formatting options.

Use the following primary tools to navigate the report as detailed by each feature.

Save/Save As Save open document to personal folder or to a corporate folder to which access has been granted by the BI administrator.
File   Undo Undo previous actions.

Query   Edit Enable the ability to edit the report.
Query   Refresh Refresh all refreshable data providers. Also shows the last data and time of last refresh.

Insert   Insert table Insert a blank vertical, horizontal, cross, or form table into the report for development.
Insert   Insert chart Insert a selection of charts that include comparison, trend, proportion, distribution, correlation, geographic, and indicator. Use provided configuration tools for further development.
Insert   Insert cell Insert a report element to build the landscape. Standard cell selections include blank, comment, document name, etc.
Insert   Insert section Define a new section of dimensions (client ID and name) and variables (report dates, etc,)

Analyze   Show/Hide filter bar Display the filter bar and edit existing input controls and refine the data.

Display   Zoom Zoom in and out of report view.
